Currently, Zelle does not charge for sending or receiving money. However, it is recommended to confirm with your bank or credit union that there are no additional fees.
Not all accounts are eligible for use with Zelle, including credit cards, international debit cards or international deposits. Validation must be in the United States.
The Zelle app uses authentication and monitoring features to make your payments more secure. So whether you use the Zelle app or use Zelle through your bank or credit union on mobile or online banking, you’ll have peace of mind.

As mentioned earlier, you can use Zelle from participating organizations or the Zelle app. For example, I have used it many times with Wellsfargo referrals and got paid instantly using the Wellsfargo App and its website.
The fastest way to get started with Zelle is to log into your company’s website or app, then find the Zelle link. The list of banks and credit unions that support Zelle goes on. Once you’ve registered your bank account with Zelle, you’re ready to go.
If your bank or credit union has not yet joined Zelle, you can still use the service by downloading the Zelle app for iOS or Android. You can sign up for a new Zelle account with your phone number and a Visa or Mastercard debit card.
How To Use Zelle To Send Money
When starting with Zelle, your bank will schedule daily transfers (for your protection) to new recipients you send cash to. MyBankTracker maintains Zelle’s daily and monthly limits on the top banks in the US. They tend to vary from bank to bank. In addition, restrictions will be adjusted from time to time. For example, at WellsFargo, new customers can send just $500 a day. However, by sending money multiple times to the same recipient, the daily limit increases to $2500.
Using Zelle with a business account varies from Bank to Bank. Speed is another benefit. As the companies involved work together, the process changes faster than other services like Venmo. On the downside, make sure you’re sending the payment to the right person. If not, you may be out of luck. Banks are often only interested in fraudulent transactions; therefore, make sure the phone number or email is correct before pressing the send button.
