How To Moisturize Hair With Crochet Braids – It means a lot to me considering that I do my natural hair myself and most of my hairstyles take less than 30 minutes and my favorite “Trick bun” takes 15 minutes. So I literally spend 2-4 hours combing my hair with my hand…….. this is very important!
I have crocheted braids for other people using different types of hair. I used Noble Kinky Hair, Supreme Afro twisted braid, FreeTress and Janet Noire Marley Hair and my favorite braids are marley hair because it is softer to the touch.

Enter, Emoticon braid hair. This hairstyle is very popular in Nigeria for braids, braids, Ghana braids, braids and any braided hair you can think of. The best part of this hairstyle is that you can create long curls by squeezing it in hot water.

This isn’t the first time I’ve used Expression to crochet. The last time I did it, I used it to braid the hair to get the natural look. However, this time I did something different inspired by Instagram… the pictures say it all!
I prepped my hair as it is a long layer. I washed my hair in four sections and then deep-conditioned it for 30 minutes using a portable heating cap. Since I use a silicone-free conditioner, I don’t bother washing it off. I just rinse with plenty of water and coat my hair with coconut oil.
I don’t bother washing the conditioner off because I love the smoothing and detangling power of deep conditioner, which makes it easy for me to style my hair without tangles or breakage. I blow dried my hair until it was just wet and then started twisting the pattern to place the crochet.
While I was waiting for my hair to dry, I prepared my hair. I used two bags of Expression Kanekalon hair…one black (color 1) and one purple. My friend gave me a quarter of her blue curly hair. (I love blue and purple hair!). I bought each for the N350.

I separated each section of hair by layering it in 4 (it gives me chin length and shoulder length). For longer curls, you can divide it into 3 sections or 2 sections.
Then I combed my hair so the ends wouldn’t stick. It is then twisted around the flexirods. To save time and to keep the curls not too tight, I wrapped the thicker sections of hair around the rods so I only used all 20 medium flex rods.
I put the sticks in a bowl and pour freshly boiled water over them and let them freeze and cool. Then I take the sticks out of the water, pick up the hair and let it dry. It dries faster than using Marley hair.
I secured the hair using a hairpin (for some reason, I find it easier to do than a crochet hook… probably by length). Here is the sweet photo of Nafisah

I take care of my hair very simply. I will practice rope. None of the hydration and concealment from synthetic hair. I don’t understand the point of cleaning synthetic hair, especially if your hair is nowhere else to be seen. I love changing my hair because I always look like a completely different person. I’m a little out of my comfort zone now but I love it because that’s what I stand for.
As a Naturalista, my styling options are limited to dyeing, cutting or getting my hair done. Although I love color, I am afraid to dye my hair and so it is best to get a colored wig or braids, especially crochet braids. I’ve been thinking about buying a gray corkscrew for a few months and finally found it.
When it comes to long hairstyles, the first options that come to mind are braids, wigs, braids and/or braids. Braids are somewhat invisible, but they are a great barrier to natural hair that works well, relaxes and transforms.
The crochet braid is a knitting technique that involves turning your hair into a cornrow pattern. Just like sewing, different knits are used for different designs – flat back, round and more.

After your hair is braided, loose (voluminous) hair is attached to corn braids using a ratchet hook, hence the name of this style – “crochet braids”. You can choose to use human hair or synthetic hair, but curly hairstyles work best because their fullness is often hidden by braids and loose hair.
No chemicals, threads, glues or other adhesives are used to create the pattern. All your hair is fixed which makes it a complete barrier. You can wash, style and style your hair under your hair just like you would with a braid. Crochet braids will last 6-8 weeks with proper care.
One of the best things about braiding is that it requires less stress on your hair than braiding because there is no twisting or sewing involved. In addition, with this method, which is cheaper than human hair transplantation, synthetic hair is more effective.
With this hair but I can shower and manage to shower lol. Style won’t last long if you shower regularly.

To remove the style, simply cut the extensions close, not along the knot, apply some oil to lubricate them, and then gently pull the hair out of your cornrow.
I do mine my best and with Hair Stylist: Monday Makdwallo. It does home visits and is therefore perfect for those who don’t like salons. I am happy with my results and can’t wait to style this hair. Yes, you can reuse crochet knits. These include cartridges, screws and locks. Hair loss, on the other hand, can be difficult. The type and quality of the hair is the determining factor. It can be difficult to reuse if black and warped.
My client in the photos below used only conditioner. He did what’s called a batch wash, which means “just a clean wash”. Air dried the back.

After my first set of curls, I noticed something a little different in my hair. I’m having a hard time so my hair doesn’t look the same after straightening it but I think there’s something else in my hair.
When I got my second set of braids, I decided to take a look at how I care for my hair and make some notes on what not to do while maintaining braids.

1. Pay attention to how you dye your hair. Having braids is fun!! You don’t have to look at your curls the way you look at your loose hair. You are resting and doing very well. You have these braids with which you can do so many things!
However, you do not want to grow out your hair. Yes, this is a protective method, but the purpose of the protective method is to rest your hair. If you’re constantly styling your hair (read as if it’s highlighting) you can’t relax your hair! This goes double for your pages. You have to be very careful around the sides but be extra careful with the braids. When brushing your hair, think about how strong or long your sides are. The twist is too big
