Hey, everyone! So, today I have something a little different for you, the 3 Week Slim Down – though, don’t worry, I’m still included in my weekly workout routine. If you want to check out my activewear look for this week, just read below!
Foods To Keep In The Bridal Suite
A friend of mine is getting married at the end of this month and she asked me what she should do in 3 weeks to prepare for it! I gave him an honest idea: cut carbs, drink lots of water and eat more. He asked me if it was too late for him to start lifting and if he should stick to his clean class and orange theory, which is mostly full body exercises but no lifting.
Of course I told him that he would never raise. I think a lot of women think you’re lifting when you lift, especially lifting weights, but that’s not the case. To reduce your body fat%, you need to increase your muscle mass, which is done by strength training and eating enough protein, diet, etc. Cutting carbs can help with fat loss because excess carbs that aren’t immediately used/burned are stored as fat.
Extra cardio, or extra HIIT every week, can also help with fat burning and loss, especially if you have a ‘deadline’, and remember that 2 of the most important things will be 1 ) strength training and 2) diet.
A few ‘rules’ I will have for the 3 Week Slim Down, which I will stick to if I have some activities that I want to be good for ‘extra’, are these:
How Many Calories Do I Need To Eat To Lose Weight?
: I will count how many carbs you eat on a normal day and reduce it, depending on how much you eat. If you eat more than 180 g, I would reduce it by 40-60 g. If you eat 120 g – 160 g, I would reduce it by 20 g in the first week. Reduce it by another 10 grams each time for the next two weeks. If you haven’t checked your calorie intake with my Fitness Pal – I suggest you do! You want to eat as much protein as your body weight, if not a little more. However, I think tracking your carbs is more important during these weeks, so you can just track these instead. In general, you want to keep your protein the same, decrease your carbs, and if you decrease your carbs, you want to increase your fats because they are the limit!
Eat clean and eat regularly! You want to keep your metabolism high by eating regularly and you won’t be hungry. You can eat 1 cheat meal in moderation on the weekend, and you can have a glass of dry wine.
I would recommend drinking about 100 oz especially if you are doing HIIT as you want to stay hydrated. Water is also an important part of fat loss, so don’t skip this part!
I will post my weekly workout routine every Monday. I’ve included some meal prep ideas above about what to eat. I’ll change them to your macros, so I don’t add ‘how much’ to your plate.
Day Flat Belly Meal Plan

I also bake my sweet potatoes for an hour at 350 degrees on the grill! I usually eat half and save half for another day.

Wednesday: Go to your favorite exercise class! Make sure you do cardio too if the class doesn’t include it!
Challenge: If you feel good, do some cardio! But don’t push yourself too hard – know when your body needs to rest. I love stretching and foam rolling these days.
