Not everyone has Business Suite yet, so most of us are stuck in an in-between hybrid trying to make sense of the back end of Facebook.
I like to use the analogy that Meta is renovating their house room by room, and as each new room in the Business Suite is completed, they move functions from the old house (Business Manager) to the new house (Business Suite). So we have some growing pains, some duplication, and a lot of confusion about how to navigate it.

There is a big difference between your personal profile and your business page. You must first have a personal profile before creating a business page.
Your personal profile represents you, authentically. People have to ask to become friends with you and you can choose who you become friends with.
Think of your business website as a billboard. Everything you post as a business page is public and anyone can follow it. You can invite other people to help you manage it and you can give them different levels of access depending on how they help you.

When you post to a Facebook page you manage, you will see a notation that says who made the post. The general public cannot see this. Only people with permissions to access your site can see who posted this content.
So if you’re concerned about protecting your privacy and your identity on Facebook when using a business site, Facebook has you covered. But you still need to use an authentic personal profile behind the scenes.
Business Suite is still rolling out to all accounts and you may not have it yet. Business Suite includes tools such as posting, messaging, insights and advertising capabilities, enhancing the experience of managing a business through Meta’s apps. Think of it as your main hub for accessing Facebook Business tools.
Easy Steps To Set Up Facebook Business Manager Like A Pro
Go to your site, then “Site Settings”, then “Site Roles”. Type your friend’s name, select them from the drop-down menu and assign them a role. You may be asked to enter your Facebook password to verify.
This method has been around since Facebook pages and is the most common way we see people granting permissions.
For sites connected to a Business Suite (or former Business Manager), it is recommended that you grant access rights through your Business Account and not through your Site Settings. This gives you additional levels of security and protection for your business assets.
STEP 1: Go to http://www.business.facebook.com then “Settings”, not Page Settings. Click the “Add Person” button. Enter the email address of the person you are inviting and give them a role.

STEP 2: You will be asked to grant permissions to your various assets, starting with your site. Go to the list and grant permissions to your site, ad account, pixel, and Instagram account and all other relevant assets.
TIP: Do not add anyone as an “admin” to your business account unless they are a legitimate business partner/owner or someone you trust with your life such as a spouse or family member. Other administrators may remove you from the business account.
You can instead add people to the company as “employees”, and then assign an admin role on your site.
If you decide in the future that you no longer work with this person, simply remove them from your business account and it will remove all other permissions.

Ways You Can Give Other People Access To Your Facebook Business Page
I’m often contacted by people looking for Facebook advertising help when they change agencies or take their ads in-house and they struggle to remove people from their accounts.
The first step is to find out if the person you are trying to remove has access to your site through Site Settings, Company Settings, both or through a third party app as mentioned above.
They must be removed from any of these areas that they have gained access to.
Find the person you want to delete and click the edit button next to their name, then click “Remove”. You may be asked to verify your Facebook password.
Troubleshoot Issues Connecting Your Facebook Page To The Hubspot Social Tool
Find the person you want to remove, click on their name and look for the “…” menu and you will see an option to remove them from this store.
If youare an administrator on your page and you try to delete someone from Page > Page Settings and you get errors, make sure you have access to the company account that “owns” your page. In some cases, I’ve seen an employee set up the company account and when they leave the company, your company page is linked to a company account that your former employee has and that you don’t have access to.
To fix this, you need to contact the former employee, ask them to go to “Settings” then “More Business Settings” via http://www.Business.Facebook.com, and “Remove” your page from them side. business account.
You’ll notice on the screenshot above that it says this is the “Primary Store Page”. If this is the case, you should first go to the Business Info tab on the left, edit the business information to change the primary page to another, and then you should be able to remove this page from your business.

The first thing to do is look in the upper right corner of your Business Manager account and click on the “Business Settings” button.
Once you’re logged in, you’ll see a bunch of “iconized” options on the left sidebar. Click on the flag icon of the Facebook page. Once clicked, you can see all the pages you have access to. Then you will see the option “Add new pages” in the upper right corner:
IMPORTANT: Do not request a site unless you have a site. The key icon is a bit misleading in this scenario. If you see this at a glance, you may think you are handing over the keys by asking for access. This is not the case – claiming a site will make you the owner and is currently an irreversible action. When you claim a page, you are the owner.
What you want to do instead is select “Request access to a Facebook page”.
