In the second month, October 2019, I lost another 13 pounds, bringing my total weight loss to 30 pounds.

In the third month, November 2019, I lost another 8 kg. And yes, I stuck with the keto cleanse until Thanksgiving! This brought my total weight loss to 38 pounds.

In the 4th month of 2019, I lost another 6 kg. Stick to pure keto all through Christmas get-togethers and a week-long family vacation at a cabin in the snow. This brought my total weight loss to 44 pounds.

Pregnancy didn’t seem like the time to stress about weight (especially in the first and third trimesters, ha!). I made mostly healthy choices, but I also allowed myself a lot of fun. Because sandwiches and ice cream are just so delicious and seem very necessary during pregnancy, ha!

The short answer: The whole point of Whole30 is to teach you how to have a healthy relationship with food, adopt a healthy diet, and identify which foods make you feel great and which foods to avoid that make you feel bad. The program also wants you to be aware of all the ingredients in your food and avoid all processed products.

Short answer: I followed my macros very closely for the first two or three weeks. Now I can guess how many carbs and how much fat I eat every day. I never worry about calories or ketosis testing.

Short answer: My first weight loss round of 2019, yes! For the first 8 months, I strictly fasted, consuming calories in 8 hours from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm. I didn’t have any calories outside of the fasting window, but I drank regular tea that has no calories. I have noticed a huge increase in energy since intermittent fasting. I loved it!

Now in my second round of weight loss in 2021, post-baby, I’m taking no breaks. Mainly because I’m too hungry since breastfeeding and don’t feel the need to limit my eating periods. I’m still losing weight (I lost 14 kilos in the first month!). I believe it’s not so much about WHEN you eat, but much more about WHAT you eat.
