Bowers then says to “bring the upper knee up and open, put your foot either on demi-pointe or flat on the mat, in front or behind your lower leg.” If you don’t feel like doing this, Bowers says you can try lowering your knees so they’re in front of you. “Pull the knee down long from the toe, back down, and go for 4 sets of 8 reps,” Bowers continued. You can then switch to the other side and do the same number of sets and reps. Do this exercise two to three times a week.
Want to take things up a? Bowers recommends something that’s ideal if you’re playing for a challenge, saying you can add a 1-2 pound ankle weight set to this exercise.
