The ballroom competition, now airing on Disney+, aired two episodes instead of just one this week, meaning fans had to say goodbye to two famous faces and their respective professional partners.
On Monday’s October 17 episode, Legally Blonde actress Selma Blair announced that she and her co-star Sasha Farber were leaving the show to focus on her health.
The star was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2018 and revealed that she had “pushed as much as she could,” and was pulling out of the competition to avoid any “extensive damage” to her body.

After the main performance, the contestants took part in a dance marathon which saw all 11 couples dance in the ballroom at the same time.
Couples were awarded bonus points based on the order in which judges Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Derek Hough tapped them – and the final couple, Jesse James Decker and Alan Burston, were crowned prom king and queen.
The first pair out of the marathon won one point, the second two plus, so by winning, Decker and Bursten, who had previously been near the bottom of the leaderboard, gained an extra 11 points with their victory.

Of course, before it was announced, host Tom Bergeron proceeded to scare DeMarcus Ware / Lindsey Arnold and Alexis Ren / Alan Burston fans at home. After last week’s explosive “Three Night,” DeMarcus and Alexis were in danger. But before Tom can give the results, he surprises everyone by saying that no one quits.
“It’s Disney night. You’re all safe! Nobody’s going home tonight,” Tom said proudly. Credits to the show rolled right away and that was it.

So, why didn’t anyone leave the competition last night? Was it for TV scheduling purposes? Has there been another technical difficulty with votes yet? Or, as Tom suggested, did the show really not want to spoil the fun mood of a Disney night with bad news?
