Here’s What I Gained, Lost & Learned After 30 Days Of Yoga

Can four weeks of exercise make a difference? Yes! Building muscle and losing fat takes consistent effort over time, but in four weeks you’ll see:

A set of dumbbells. Most daily workouts require a set of dumbbells. Each weight training session has a recommended dumbbell weight, usually 5 to 15 pounds. Remember that lifting heavy weights leads to muscle growth.

Mini Loop Resistance Bands. You can add resistance bands to leg exercises to increase the intensity. These are the mini loop resistance bands I have (DISCOUNT CODE: NML).

Foam roller. A great way to release sore muscles after a workout or to use on active recovery days.

15-30 minutes a day, 5 days a week can vary. You can always take more rest days as needed!

If you are a runner and want to incorporate running into this full body workout plan, I suggest completing three strength exercises per week. Pick or choose three full-body workouts:

You just want to make sure you’re training your major muscle groups hard three times a week. Add a run on other days or a jog on bad days if you have time. You also have the option to follow our 2-week Strength Training + Running workout plan.

Yes! But you have to do it. 30 days is a great time to challenge yourself. It is not so long that it seems impossible. Especially if you are starting from scratch. But you’re off to a good start in building a fitness habit.

Is Yoga Alone A Good Enough Form Of Exercise?

Don’t worry if you can’t do an exercise in the challenge. Try to find another exercise that works the same muscles. Of course, consult a doctor before starting an exercise program.

For push-ups, feel free to do them with your knees on the floor. I had to (and was so sad…I was in the Navy and couldn’t believe I couldn’t do a full push up!).
