Sit down at the beginning of the week and spend at least 30 minutes planning. Plan your parties and events. Plan the time you will spend for yourself. There is plenty of time, time to exercise, time with family. Write down your goals for the week…be realistic! A realistic goal for this time of year is probably not losing 15 pounds in January. Instead, aim to stay healthy and on track 80% of the time. Once that 80% is reached, commit to it! Allow yourself to enjoy (in moderation) the remaining 20% โ€‹โ€‹of your week. Make a plan and stick to it!

Habits That Can Help You In Staying Fit

DO EXERCISE!! This should be planned for your day! Come on, there’s only 30 minutes in your day…you still have 23 hours and 30 minutes to get the job done! Make it a priority. It will make you less stressed, help you burn off some high-calorie foods your body isn’t used to eating regularly, and put you in a better mood! Just move…however that looks like you!! (If you’re looking for a program, email me and I’ll help you find it!).

Consider where your holiday parties take place and what you’ll allow yourself to do while there. Then plan when you can cook at home. CONTROL WHO IS CONTROL! The time you DON’T go to events, make it a huge success! Plan what you will eat for dinner each night, then move on to other meals and snacks. When you have a plan, you are more likely to succeed with your goals. Stick to your meal plan and remember that December goals are progress, not perfection!

I cannot emphasize this enough!! WATER WATER WATER!!! You need to drink at least half of your body weight in ounces of water every day! Not just on the day you’re at the party! But everyday! This will fill you up and trick your mind into thinking you’re not hungry! Therefore, we often confuse hunger with the body’s need to stay hydrated! So DRINK your water! If you’re going to a party, be sure to drink a full glass of water before and after drinking. Always have a glass of filtered or carbonated water on hand at any party and keep sipping!!

Never go hungry at any party or event. EVERYTHING will look amazing and you’ll want to try everything! Be sure to eat some protein and vegetables before you go. Get healthy food on you to keep your body happy. Then stop taking the disc! If you start eating the first, you will feel left out as everyone else continues to eat the second, third, and so on. I love having a Shakeology before I go to events! It keeps me full and I don’t crave all the delicious food!!

Tips To Look After Your Mental Health This Winter

Go to your party with a LIMIT on what you will drink. Is it a glass of wine? A cocktail? Whatever you decide, consider your goals and make sure you have a plan. Ask your spouse or friend to hold you accountable for the plan. And make sure you drink water in between! If you’ve used up your limit, grab some lime juice and take it with you!

Parties often include tons of food and buffets! Remember to have a plan when you go in. Don’t just “take it off”. Know which foods to choose, how much to allow yourself and what to avoid! Upload protein, vegetables and fruit! Then you can “sprinkle” the interesting things in moderation.

Desserts, desserts, desserts! There are often so many options when it comes to desserts at holiday parties! That’s what people love to bring, look at and eat! Am I right? Well, believe me…I LOVE dessert just like all of us! So instead of cutting them out completely and feeling depressed because you “can’t” have them, try the 3-bite rule! What I love is sharing with my husband. They will taste the dessert and then I will take 3 bites! Then I finished. I’ve tried them and got myself a nice cup of coffee to drink and then I’m usually pretty good!! ๐Ÿ™‚

To mine! LAUGH). So the more you can talk to people and learn more about them, ask questions and get along, the more you will be amazed at the relationships you can create and that will keep you from overeating. again!

I know sometimes it’s easy not to jump back into your routine right away, but it’s important to get back on track right away. I know it’s easy to let go and keep “cheat” and not stick to your plan. But this is definitely what makes the biggest difference in your success. Can you train your brain to get back on track with your goals and plans!?! So…just sit back and keep reaching for the goals you’ve set!

I hope these tips help this holiday as you go from party to event again! Limit “handling”, but don’t strip everything completely. Enjoy the holidays, but keep in mind what your goals are and how you’re going to achieve them!
